Styling a number

01

Type the digits

Enter a number, a date or a score. Anything that is not a digit passes through untouched, so you can style a whole line and only the numbers change.

02

Pick a set

Circled and boxed sets read as badges. Double-struck and bold read as emphasis. Superscript and subscript sit above or below the line for footnotes and formulas.

03

Paste it in

Copy and drop it into the caption, bio or message. Superscript and subscript are the least widely supported, so check those in the destination first.

Questions about number styles

Do circled numbers go past 20?

The circled set runs out fairly quickly and coverage above 20 is patchy across devices. For larger values the double-struck and bold sets are the safer choice.

Can I style a phone number or a date?

Yes. Separators such as dashes, slashes and spaces are left as they are, so the shape of the number stays readable after styling.

Will these work in a spreadsheet?

They will paste, but they will be treated as text rather than as numbers, so they cannot be summed or sorted numerically. Keep styled digits out of anything you need to calculate with.

Why do superscript numbers look inconsistent?

Superscript and subscript coverage is uneven in Unicode and some digits are drawn from different blocks, so a few can sit slightly off the baseline depending on the font.

Is it free?

Yes, with no account and no limit on how many you generate.
